http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6814125251 20 watts max and it still gives you 52GHz of SPUs total (80 stream processing units*650MHz), I have one in my server. For comparisons sake, a 4850 uses 110 watts and gives you 600GHz (800 SPUs*750MHz) across SPUs when overclocked to 750MHz, and will run you roughly 3.5~ times the price.

Not all modern cards suck massive amounts power, just nVidias. The GTX 480, nVidia's current highest end GPU only has 672.480GHz of SPUs, 480 SPUs*1401MHz, so it doesn't even really have that much more raw processing power than my 2 generations out of date 3rd from highest end ATI card, my card will run you 120 bucks, a GTX 480 will run you 500 to 600.

Seriously though, I had a 6100 in a turion box, the 2.2GHz single core turion, AMD's worst line of CPUs, managed to outperform that 6100 by more than twice in graphics operations. The 6100 ran Portal at 5FPS with everything on low at 640x480, with software rendering on the turion it got 12FPS.

Yeah well HP isn't about to give you a power supply that will actually last or has upgrade room. All they want is the smallest, cheapest power supply they can get for their computers that still allows the thing to run. Mine has a similarly small power supply and it's why I'm building any desktops my family might need in the future myself. Well that and between 3 HP machines, all of them have problems, so needless to say, HP lost my business period.

RE: Your Computer Specs
It's not a full computer yet. Just some parts I've ordered around thanksgiving to rebuild/replace my dead computer.

Motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6813128394

Heatsink/CPU Fan:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6835186035

Still got some parts to order. But I at least got a start.

Just went one step further, got myself a new 2TB Samsung Spinpoint drive for my laptop and a new Rosewill enclosure to go with it. eSATA and 2TB of space, I'm set for ages now.

RE: Your Computer Specs
I just got a new computer. It's a 27" (2560x1440 LED) iMac with a Dual Core i3 (3.2GHz), 4GB of DDR3 1333MHz Ram, 1TB HDD (But somehow it got partitioned in half and only one of the halves are accessible) An ATI Radeon HD 5670 with 512MB, Mac OSX Snow Leopard. It's the fastest computer I've had to date and I'm loving Mac OSX!

(I still have my trusty Ubuntu machine!)
