Insane, right? I know! It’s only been a little over a week since I won my last iPod Touch out of this Stacker arcade game! I guess someone went nuts and put in a whole lot of money! (And sorry guys, I’m selling this one.)

Remember when I won a PSP out of Stacker? I won an iPod Touch out of the same machine! I didn’t think I was going to win, or else I would have recorded the gameplay too. Oh well, next time…

Fake Apple iPod Touch Review

Filed under: Videos — Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , — tweeterman287 @ February 14, 2010, 7:44 pm

It’s one thing to make a 3rd party MP3/MP4 player and have it look sort of similar to an iPod, but to rip-off the interface and go as far as putting the Apple logo on it… now that’s just low.

Apple’s new tablet: the iPad

Apple iPad

(I know, I said I don’t like Apple products, but I felt it was my duty to blog about this.)

So Apple has finally come clean with their tablet. It’s the iPad. First up, it’s time for specs:

- 9.7″ screen, multitouch capacitive
- 820.11n wireless internet (optional AT&T wireless)
- Accelerometer and compass
- 0.5″ thick
- 1.5 pounds
- Bluetooth 2.1
- Speaker and mic
- 30 pin dock connector (like iPods)
- 10 hour battery life
- 1 Ghz processor
- iPhone OS
- Optional dock, physical keyboard, and case will be available

So now, pricing: we’re looking at $499 for the 16GB model, $599 for 32GB, and $699 for 64GB. If you want AT&T service too, add $130 more to whatever model you pick, plus a contract-free data plan of $14.99 for 250MB, or $29.99 for unlimited. It’s compatible with all App Store apps, and they’ll also be coming out with an iBook store to buy ebooks for the iPad. If you want one of these, they’ll be released late March, or wait until April if you want it to have an AT&T SIM card slot on it.

New iPods, though not many updates…

Not much exciting stuff happened to the iPod family today. We now have a 160GB iPod classic for the same $249, updated iPod touches with better processors, and more memory for less money ($199 8GB, $299 32GB, and a new $399 64GB), and the shuffles..well, they just got new colors. As for the iPod nano, well…

It’s now got a camera that snags video at 640×480, built in pedometer with Nike+ sync, FM radio, voice recording, and a slightly larger screen. Even so, the 8GB model will remain at $149, where as the 16GB model is only $179.

But I can’t stop scratching my head about one thing in particular, and I bet you guys will be too….

Why in the hell is the nano the only one with a camera?! If the iPod touch had one like rumored, that would be one heck of a portable device to have! I mean, I can’t imagine why they would do this only on the nano….I’m baffled.

And no, no Apple Tablet was announced. Boo.

iBoost – iPod knockoff

–I’ll be on vacation for the next week. So if you message me or leave a question for me in the form of a comment, I may not see it for a week. Don’t miss me too much!–

You know what makes me sad? When people come into Radioshack with MP3 players like this, and they think that it really is an iPod, and I just don’t have the heart to tell them it’s not.

Go ahead. Go on Youtube and search “windows 3.1 unboxing.” You will only find my video. I think I can safely say this is the only unboxing of such a thing caught on video.

New 4GB iPod Shuffle

To make it as small as it is, all of the controls have been moved to the headphone cord. At first, I thought it was a bad idea, since if your headphones go bad, you’ll have a useless iPod. Luckily, Apple has said that they’ll release an adapter that can go on any pair of headphones to make them like the official ones. This sucker actually speaks the name of the song to you as well. You can buy this new iPod right now, and it goes for $80.

Now I wonder when Radioshack will stock them…

(And yes, this IS real, just go to apple.com)

Macworld 2009

End of keynote update: Wow…in terms of hardware, that’s it. No new iPhone, iMac or Mac Mini, nothing. Just a Macbook.

I’m sorta disappointed.

There is a LOT of stuff going on, and it isn’t even over yet! We so far have a new 17″ Macbook, which will be released at the end of January for $2799. It sports things like a 2.6 GHZ dual core, 4 GB ram, 320 GB hard drive, and lots, lots more. Still more to come! Updates will be posted above this.
