Coming Soon – “Battle Kid: Fortress of Peril” Review

OK, I’m going to take a little break while I work on this one. It’ll be the same production quality as my Super Mario Galaxy 2 review. Never heard of Battle Kid: Fortress of Peril? Well, it’s not the first of its kind, but it’s one of the more well known ones. It’s an NES game in actual cartridge format from a homebrewer released the beginning of this year. His Youtube channel is here: http://www.youtube.com/user/SivakD

To best describe it, it’s an NES platformer that is a cross between Mega Man and the PC game, I Wanna Be The Guy. The review is going to be worth the wait, and the game is definitely fun.

If you haven’t heard of this game before, here’s the official trailer on the creator’s Youtube channel (as in, I did not make this video):

Watch my new computer get built LIVE!

Here’s what’s inside the new computer: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=18106728

So yeah, I’m going to be building this live on my ustream.tv channel, TweeterMan287, and I’m planning for 5PM Eastern Time (-05:00 hours). For those who won’t be able to watch it live, I will record it for you to watch whenever on ustream. [Sorry guys, my old computer was too wimpy to be able to record it. =( ]

(Like my new desk, too?)

Google Update

Just a quick update for you guys – I’ve made absolutely no progress in terms of contacting Google. It’s like as if they live in a super hidden cave that is underwater, which is hidden by another cave. And more water. Possibly some robot ninjas too.

I do have a plan B to be able to get an income from Youtube again, but if that doesn’t work, I will have to leave Youtube and go to another video website, or just post all future videos here.

Quick update

Just a quick update here. I cleaned up the blog post categories a bit, also in the process I made a separate category for Gamer X videos, so now my videos are separate from Gamer X’s, just to make it easier to find which video you’re looking for.

(When’s the last time I posted a blog entry that wasn’t video or gadget news…?)

Update on stuff

I don’t often make blog posts like, this, do I? I usually just take the lazy way out and Twitter.

My future videos are going to change for the crazy better, as for Christmas, I got a Canon Vixia HF200 camcorder (i.e. an HD one!) I do plan on making a video about it in the future. But why have my videos been so far in between lately?

Life’s treated me better. I have no job, so no source of income. (Yeah, no more Radioshack – don’t ask.) But wait, Ian? What about your Youtube Partnership? Well, my Google @dsense (in case the bots are reading, though I’m saying nothing bad about them) has been disabled, which means no current income from Youtube videos. It’s been like that over a month now, and Google has not gotten back to me. Apparently, I’m not the only one who’s waiting forever for an appeal response, as I’ve seen on their support forums.

Not only does no income mean no way to buy new things to review, but it also means low morale altogether, and it’s left me quite bummed. I haven’t had the energy to make videos as often as I used to. Instead of channel comments like (hey tweeterman make a new video ur slacking off on us), I would appreciate your understanding during this time.

Stay tuned, guys.

UPDATE: I want to keep this article at the top of the page for now, so here’s a new Gamer X video.

PXP-2000 (Sony PSP Go ripoff): In-depth

Filed under: News — Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , — tweeterman287 @ November 25, 2009, 9:21 pm

To be fair, the first video about the PXP-2000 could have been more in-depth, so this video should remedy that. I get more into the capability of the game portion of the device.

New iPods, though not many updates…

Not much exciting stuff happened to the iPod family today. We now have a 160GB iPod classic for the same $249, updated iPod touches with better processors, and more memory for less money ($199 8GB, $299 32GB, and a new $399 64GB), and the shuffles..well, they just got new colors. As for the iPod nano, well…

Gallery of pictures on Engadget.com

It’s now got a camera that snags video at 640×480, built in pedometer with Nike+ sync, FM radio, voice recording, and a slightly larger screen. Even so, the 8GB model will remain at $149, where as the 16GB model is only $179.

But I can’t stop scratching my head about one thing in particular, and I bet you guys will be too….

Why in the hell is the nano the only one with a camera?! If the iPod touch had one like rumored, that would be one heck of a portable device to have! I mean, I can’t imagine why they would do this only on the nano….I’m baffled.

And no, no Apple Tablet was announced. Boo.
